Our factory is located just outside of Sacramento, CA in a converted military hangar, on the runway of the former Mather Air Force Base. Once a warehouse for airplane parts, the space in now home to a dozen vintage textile looms, including old Draper shuttle looms, and other textile producing machinery that date as far back as the 1920’s.
We open our doors to the public every first Friday of the month for guided tours. Tours are 2 hours long (10am – 12pm) and include a introduction to our textile mill with guided tour of machinery that includes our warping, beaming, and weaving processes.
Attendees will also see our cone and cloth re-winders, our sewing room where we do our R&D sewing, as well as get to stroll through our natural dye garden!
Explore and experience American made textiles and visit our gift shop for a novelty Huston Textile Co. hat, t-shirt and other goodies.
If you are interested in attending one of our tours, you can reserve your spot by clicking on the event above in which you'd like to attend. Tickets are $15.
